Rose Society to hear talk on irrigation
The Gold Country Rose Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 in the Auburn Civic Center Rose Room. Guest speaker will be Dave Luckscheider, irrigation specialist with Sierra Pipe Company.
He will have samples of systems and demonstration models. In addition, he will answer questions and offer suggestions for solving irrigation problems.

Donner Garden Club
Donner Garden of Auburn's regular meeting will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at 752 Deerpark Trail in Auburn. Placer County Master Gardener Sharon Ross will give a program on container gardening.
Members will discuss their favorite Iris. A raffle of garden related items is held each month.
The bus sponsored by Donner Garden Club for the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show, March 17, is filled. Passengers should be at the parking lot behind Raley's in Bowman promptly at 7:30 a .m. Cottage gardens class
The El Dorado County Master Gardeners will offer a class on cottage gardens from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 5 at the Agriculture Extension building, 311 Fair Lane in Placerville. Master Gardener Eve Kenner will discuss the art of mixing fruit, vegetables, herbs and perennial and annual flowers in this informal garden style.
