Flower Show School Course No. 4 will be offered April 5 to 7 at the Bell Road Baptist Church, 707 Bell Road, in Auburn.
This is the fourth part of a four-course program to educate garden club members and the general public about showing and judging horticulture and floral design. It is presented by the Golden Foothills District of the California Garden Clubs Inc., which belongs to the Pacific Region of the Nation Garden Clubs Inc.
Attendees will learn about horticulture with emphasis on daffodil and container-grown ferns along with flower show procedures on the first day.
First-day instructor will be Sandra Joyce from Hudson, Mass.
The second day's program will be on flower design and practice flower show judging, presented by Fan Wittgartner from Castle Rock, Colo.
A Course 4 written examination on will be given on the third day for those interested.
The two-day course plus exam is $70. One-day course is $50. Salad lunch on April 5 and 6 is $7.50 each. Exam for credit is $5.
Flower Show School attendance is open to all, but to receive credit, one must be a member of a federated garden club.
