Drive past 2415 Celtic Drive and you will notice a beautiful 3,000-square-foot home in an upscale, extremely quiet neighborhood.
But step inside the home, and let the “wows” begin.
A vaulted cathedral ceiling graces the dramatic entry, which is floored with substantial, yet understated, terra cotta tiles.
“This home is filled with upgrades,” said Garth Evans of Realty World.
And upgrades are evident throughout. Upgrades like granite countertops and matching terra-cotta backsplash, solid hickory hardwood flooring, and pull-out kitchen drawers — a must for the cook in the house.
“The home has three bedrooms, but the home’s plans show it could have up to seven,” Evans said.
The homeowners, who chose all the great custom features that Woodside Builders offered, opted for three bedrooms in the large home, to allow plenty of room to spread out.
The family room is a perfect example. The room, with dining nook runs the entire length of the home. At 30 by 16 feet, the room offers 480 square feet to enjoy the television in its built-in media nook, listen to music in surround sound, entertain, or just visit with friends and family.
“The home could have had more bedrooms, but we opted to have fewer bedrooms, but larger rooms,” the homeowner said.
The master bedroom is no exception.
Built with true retreat in mind, the master is extra deep to allow a full seating area — an area perfect for relaxing. The space could also be enclosed, to offer an additional bedroom or nursery.
An arched entry leads to the master bath where jetted tub and separate shower with bench area, and double sinks await.
But this master offers a hidden gem, as well — the to-die-for closet.
Bright white, modern and lit with a sleek and unique track of contour lighting, there’s room for everything imaginable in this closet, which is filled with cabinets, cupboards, shoe racks and more.
The upstairs has other great features as well.
One of the homeowners’ favorite features is the balcony area, which overlooks the dining and living room below.
“We were most impressed with this balcony when we walked in to the house,” the homeowner said.
The circular balcony, or alcove area, is tucked away, an ideal location for a comfy chair, table and reading lamp, a small office, or a kids’ homework area.
From extra-large closets, to an expansive wall of kitchen cupboards, this home was built with storage space in mind.
The home also includes “smart fan” cooling and dual air conditioners.
But the real value, in Evans’ opinion, is the neighborhood.
“The Glenmoor neighborhood has no Mello Roos and no homeowners’ association dues,” Evans said. “This is at least a $30,000 value over the course of 30 years. You may find something less expensive in the area, but when you add those fees, your payment will actually be more somewhere else.”
In addition, Evans adds there are very few rental properties in the neighborhood.
“The smallest floor plan here is 1,800 square feet, and all have three-car garages — not the type of home that attracts the investor who wants to pick up several homes to rent.”
But as far as the homeowners are concerned, it was the great neighborhood, and especially the bright kitchen, that they fell in love with.
“Our favorite room is the kitchen,” the homeowners said. “This was the selling point, for us, right here.”
