We had an exceptionally busy week.  A lot of agents are working with buyers in real estate, who still want to underbid on properties that are less than 50% of what they were in 2006.  Then they wonder why the banks are loath to except their less than illustrious offers….. Anyway, we just needed a break and went to the Club Car in downtown Auburn.  It’s a great place to go for good food and good drinks. A very relaxed atmosphere with seating at the bar, tables, or chairs and couches. They also have live music in the evenings. 

We ordered the Blue Cheeses Burger from the menu under Bar Fare.  It was FABULOUS!!! We’ve had other burgers there, but this is our absolute favorite.  It is a medium burger with, chunks of blue cheese on top and French fried onion rings, trimmings to add as you please. Depending on your mood, you can have it with salad, skinny fries, fat fries or maybe a creative idea of your own from the menu. The rest of the menu is equally delicious.

As for drinks, they have good beers on tap, such as Eye of the Hawk from the Mendocino Brewing Co. and a host of others.  They also have a full bar and I can say the dirty martinis were just lovely.  So, if you have been house hunting, or are a realtor in need of a place to take clients or just to recover and recoup from your day, the Club is perfect for you.
