Keller Williams Realty Auburn Market Center will be holding it’s second annual golf tournament to benefit local schools May 19 at The Ridge Golf Course in Auburn.
“We believe in supporting the community that we live and work in. It’s our way of saying thanks to our friends, neighbors and clients,” said Keller Williams team leader, Andrea Miller.
The golf tournament will provide through sponsorships, green fees and donations a scholarship for graduating seniors at seven local high schools, including: Placer, Foresthill, Del Oro, Chana, Forest Lake Christian, Colfax and Bear River.

Chili Cook Off! to raise funds for education

Helping HomeTown Schools will be hosting its  annual Chili Cook Off! from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at the Auburn Recreation Park.
Live jazz, hot dogs, Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream, popcorn, Smoothie King smoothies and raffle prizes will be available to the community.
Participants can vote for their favorite chili after purchasing a tasting kit for $5 per person or $15 for four.
An entry fee of $200 is required for teams that wish to enter a chili. All proceeds will benefit the Auburn Education Foundation.
